What Is VEEP?
VEEP is a pre-apprenticeship program that prepares veterans for direct entry into electrical apprenticeships across the country. Here’s how it works:
- No Cost to Participants: VEEP is provided at no cost to participants. You can even complete the program while transitioning out of the military.
- Choose Your Destination: Before attending VEEP, decide where in the United States you’d like to live and work after completing the program.
- Direct Entry Agreement: The electrical training ALLIANCE facilitates an agreement for your direct entry into the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) center in your chosen location.
- Eligibility:
- Recently separated (5 years) veterans from all military services including Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reserve are eligible.
- Active-duty personnel attending under the SkillBridge agreement can also participate
- National Guard, and Reserve service members also qualify.
- DD-214 showing an Honorable or General, Under Honorable Conditions discharge is required.

- Start Date: October 7, 2024
- Duration: 7 weeks
- End Date: November 22, 2024
