The Veteran’s Electrical Entry Program was built on a simple belief: the skills forged in military service belong in the trades. VEEP provides transitioning service members and recently separated veterans a pre-apprenticeship pathway into the electrical industry — as an Electrician or Lineman — at absolutely no cost to the participant.
Sponsors make that promise possible. Funding from organizations like yours covers pre-apprenticeship training materials, travel assistance, tool kits, and the coordination infrastructure that connects veterans to IBEW training centers in the location of their choosing.
Pre-Apprenticeship Training
VEEP prepares veterans with the foundational electrical knowledge required to enter IBEW apprenticeship programs.
Nationwide Training Center Placement
Veterans choose where in the U.S. they want to live and work. VEEP works with the IBEW training centers of their choice to secure their direct entry.
In-Demand Career Tracks
Participants can train as an Electrician — working residential, commercial, and industrial settings — or as a Lineman, maintaining the power grid that keeps America running.
SkillBridge Compatible
Active-duty service members can begin VEEP through the DoD SkillBridge program — gaining civilian work experience before their separation date, at no cost to the military branch.
